This is going to be a fantastic opening session for the Global Institute for Agri-Tech Economics 3rd INFER Symposium on Agri-Tech Economics for Sustainable Futures... Prof David Llewellyn, Tom Bradshaw (NFU), Phil Bicknell (AHDB) and Prof. James Lowenberg-DeBoer discussing agri-tech at Harper Adams University, the farmers perspective, traversing the nexus of science and technology into farm practice, and the longer term impacts of COVID-19 on European agriculture.

George Halkos to speak on Modelling biodiversity and threatened species: Implications for policy26/8/2020  The Global Institute for Agri-Tech Economics at @harper-adams-university is excited to announce that Professor George Halkos from the University of Thessaly will be the leading keynote speaker of a special session on Agricultural Productivity, Policy and Markets at the 3rd Online Symposium on Agri-Tech Economics for Sustainable Futures. Prof. Halkos' talk will be on 'Modelling biodiversity: Determinants of threatened species'.

However, we have received many requests to extend the deadline for Extended Abstract or Full Manuscript Submissions. As a result, the Symposium Organizing Committee has decided to extend the final deadline for the Call for Papers. Submissions are now due no later than 5th August , 2020.  Professor Dayton Lambert from Oklahoma State University (USA) will be the leading keynote speaker of a special session on Spatial Econometrics in Precision Agriculture at the 3rd INFER Online Symposium on Agri-Tech Economics for Sustainable Futures.

Given the unfortunate constraints on travel faced by our many colleagues, the Symposium on Agri-Tech Economics for Sustainable Futures is moving fully into the virtual world... something we started doing during the 2019 workshop, with presenters streaming in from all over the globe.
As part of the program we are planning on organising a number of themes and special sessions, with some of these special sessions focused on contemporary issues and technical methods.... watch this space! |
